The Spunky Creek Church of Christ is excited to announce that we are hosting the 2014 Summer Meeting! The theme for the summer meeting will be "Lord, Make Me a Servant, Make Me Like You". Our hope is for all to learn the importance of being a servant and developing a more Christ-like attitude.
Here are some of the details:
WHEN: June 29-July 6, 2014
WHERE: Rogers State University in Claremore, OK www.rsu.edu. Most of our activities will take place on this campus. Activities at any other site will be announced in the future as the need arises.
LODGING: RSU has made dormitory rooms available at a very reasonable price. We will be staying in Building A. Each dorm "pod" has four bedrooms, two bathrooms, a full kitchen and a small sitting area. Each bedroom will either have a twin bed or twin bunk beds. All beds are extra long twin size. The price for lodging is $10 per bed per night based on bunk beds in each bedroom. If only a single twin bed is required the price goes to $15 per bed per night. We will need to know any lodging decisions and payments by June 10, 2014. You will be required to furnish your own sheets, towels, soap and kitchen utensils. Each room will be equipped with only a shower curtain and toilet paper. Coin operated washers and dryers are available in the dorm building or at local laundromats in town. RV LODGING: There are three RV parks within ten miles of the college. We recommend you call early for reservations.

Please contact these parks directly. Some allow reservations to be made. Some have access limits after 10:00 PM each night.
MEALS: There will be one group meal offered each day. Due to college restrictions the meal will be prepared by their food service. The meal will be buffet style with family friendly food. The cost is $10 per person with children 5 and under eating free. In lieu of trying to provide a meal or serving at the summer meeting, we would ask that congregations provide monetary assistance which will be used to reduce the cost of meals for all. We suggest that breakfast and other meals required can be done in the dorm kitchens or by visiting eating establishments in town.
ACTIVITIES: We are planning activities for fun and fellowship for all ages throughout the week. A schedule of events will be posted later.
